I choose love, faithfulness, and truth.
A personal word about choosing love, faithfulness, and truth in a time of adversity.

The Perspective
Recently, people have read messages about my life. Some know part of my story, others only fragments.
This is not an attempt to prove myself right or to publicly fight out the past. Not everything needs to be explained.
This is a short word about what I choose today.
It begins with this prayer:
> Lord, begin with me.
- Search my heart.
- Renew my mind through Your Word.
- Teach me to take responsibility for my own words, choices, and part.
- And teach me to become more and more like Jesus.
I have made mistakes. There are things I would do differently today. I am not running away from that.
Where I have hurt someone, I want to take responsibility and ask for forgiveness. Where restoration is possible, I want to be open to it.
My past is part of my story. It is not my identity.
> My identity is in Jesus Christ. I live by His grace.
About love and faithfulness
Love does not compel.
That applies to every relationship, especially when life is stormy. Whoever loves does not determine the choices of another. Whoever loves does guard their own heart.
Showing respect is not always easy, and pain does not hurt less because of good intentions. But love, faithfulness, and grace gain meaning precisely when things get difficult.
My prayer is therefore not only:
> Lord, change the circumstances.
But also:
- Jesus, change me.
- Teach me to love without compelling, to speak truth without wounding, to remain faithful without condemning, and to forgive without pretending it doesn't hurt.
Grateful
Especially in this period, I also see how much there is to be grateful for.
I have started at Charis Bible College to grow deeper in God's Word and to know Jesus better.
And although I am only at the beginning, I already notice that something is changing in me.
I am learning more and more not to react solely based on circumstances, emotions, or what others think of me, but to refocus my thinking on what God says in His Word.
I notice that I can look at situations more calmly, dare to look at my own heart more quickly, and feel less need to explain everything or prove myself right.
The realization is also growing that my identity is not in what I achieve, what people say about me, or what happens around me, but in who I am in Christ.
That does not mean that everything is suddenly easy.
And it certainly does not mean that I have already arrived.
But I am already experiencing that God's Word is changing me from the inside out. That there is more room for grace, forgiveness, gratitude, and trust.
I find that remarkable, especially in the midst of a difficult period.
For me, Charis is therefore not just an education.
It is also a season in which God is teaching me anew to live closer to Jesus and to have my mind renewed by His Word.
In addition, I still get to do radio—something I've been doing since I was ten—and since 2020, I have been using it more consciously to radiate hope and faith in an accessible way.
I am also grateful that for about two years now I have been able to make music and that from GOD Media Network, with radio, television, podcasts, and new technology, we can encourage people and point them to Jesus.
I do not see this as something to make myself bigger.
I see it as blessings and responsibilities that God has entrusted to me.
What I choose today
I do not expect everyone to read this in the same way.
I do hope that whoever reads this sees someone who is on a journey.
- Someone who wants to take responsibility.
- Who does not want to be controlled by bitterness.
- Who wants to learn to love and to forgive.
- Who wants to be grateful for what has been entrusted to him.
- And who discovers anew every day how much he needs Jesus.
I do not know how each next chapter will go.
I do know Who I want to follow.
- Lord, begin with me, again and again.
- Shape my heart.
- Renew my mind through Your Word.
- Keep me from pride and bitterness.
- Teach me to be grateful for what You give me.
- And let my life not point to me, but to Jesus Christ alone.
Not because I have done everything right.
But because I have a wonderful Savior.
Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.
To Him alone be all the glory.
> “He has made known to you, O man, what is good: nothing other than to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”

Iran in the Bible: what Scripture actually says about Persia
Iran is not named in the Bible, but the land is. Persia, Elam and Media run through Isaiah, Ezra, Esther, Daniel and Ezekiel — and the way those texts are read still shapes how Christians talk about Iran today.

Henk Folkers juxtaposes Jordan's criticism of Israel with the way the kingdom itself treats Palestinians, Gazans, and Jewish holy sites.
