This Kibbutz Degania Bet ( in english) country lodging was such a lovely expirience, it was beautiful wel taken care of and was completely self supporting all the people that live here live in harmony and the children to, they have school, kindergarden, a farm, there own fruit en veg on their own property and the delisiouse meals they served are prepared by… yes the people who live there, they work with rosters for the kitchen and other things that have to be done in and around the property. They have a big underground bunker for in the event of missiles and or war with enough food and drinks to survive for quit a while. It was I think the most wonderful place to stay of all the hotels we had been to.

The Sea of Galilee or as we call it, Lake Kinneret, is the largest body of fresh water in Israel and is famous for being the region where Jesus lived and performed some of his best known miracles. Many of the holy places are close to the resort. Also less than a mile from the resort you will find a modern mall with many restaurants shops and a supermarket. The JORDAN RIVER

THE JORDAN is a very special river where many biblical events happend. At one spot Eliyah was taken up to heaven what a site that must have been when Elisha and the other prophets in training see him being lifeted up to the sky.and that is the same spot Jesus was Baptised by John the baptist.Such special events and you can stand there and just imagine it all or get baptized there yourself. I would have loved to be baptized there if it where not that I had been baptized when I was 14 years old, the person that was doing the tour said no… i will only baptised people who had never done it before.

The Jordan (“descended” in Hebrew) actually flows southward about 223 miles from Mount Hermon into the Sea of Galilee, then into the Dead Sea, and is divided into an upper and lower course.

The upper section begins at its mountainous northern source, and then sinks quickly in its 47-mile course to the Lake Hula (a nature reserve today), before an even steeper drop over the next 16 miles to the Sea of Galilee. Between the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea (65 linear miles, but due to its twisting path it actually covers twice the distance at over 130 miles), its lower course dips at a rate of about five feet per mile. From start to finish, she drops over 3,100 feet, ending at the Dead Sea with the lowest elevation of any river in the world, almost 1,400 feet below sea level!

Just as it runs through Israel as an important source for watering a dry land, it also runs through the Bible with an even greater spiritual status. After the exodus from Egypt, Joshua led the Israelites across the Jordan River on dry ground into the Promised Land, before taking Jericho (Joshua 3-6). Jacob also crossed it with just a staff before God blessed him (Genesis 32:10), and Naaman the Syrian captain was healed of his leprosy at Elisha’s command to wash in it (2 Kings 5, Luke 4:27). In true Exodus fashion, the prophets Elijah and Elisha also crossed the river with dry feet, and in the New Testament John the Baptist baptized Jesus in it (Matthew 3). That is precisely what most Christian tourists seek on their visit to the Jordan River today–baptism.

The best spot for baptisms in the Jordan River is the Yardenit baptism site, near the southern tip of the Sea of Galilee. Entry to this beautiful attraction is free,

CHRIST CHURCH JERUSALEM

We visited the messianic CHRIST CHURCH JERUSALEM and it is after this service that we celebrated our 40th anniversary, 40 years together, in the garden with beautiful and delicious cake which was a treat for everybody traveling with us. By the way this means that at the time we had been married for 38 years. We gad an amzing time and everything about celebrating there made it feel extra special. Can you imagine… It was as if it was meant to be after 40 years we entered the promised land just like in the time of Moses only difference is He didn’t enter it at that specific time, but he did at the mount of trafiguration, Elijah representing the prophets and Moses representing the Law appear and Jesus begins to talk to them and Bible does state that he is going to come back. ‘ And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, who kept talking with Him.’ Matthew 17:3 https://my.bible.com/bible/8/MAT.17.3

The old city of king david

King David, remember him? The man after God’s own heart! Wow would you not liked to be called a man, woman or child after God’s heart? I would it would be an honor to be called a child after Gods own heart. We can love so many with our own heart but really God loving us that way must be really special. Are we not Special then? yes sure we are hahaha… and who knows what kind of affectionate name besides good and faithful servant He might have for us on “That day” when we finally meet Him face to face.

The Old City of Jerusalem is one of the most intense places on Earth! At the heart of the Jewish, Islamic, and Christian religions, this walled one-kilometer area in the center of Jerusalem is beyond words and cannot be missed. The Old City is home to the Western Wall (aka Wailing Wall and in Hebrew Kotel). This is the last remaining wall of what was the Jewish Temple and is today the holiest site in the world for Jews.

The Old City of Jerusalem is divided into four quarters; The Jewish Quarter, The Armenian Quarter, The Christian Quarter, and The Muslim Quarter. The walled city is entered by one of seven entry gates, although the busiest for tourists is the Jaffa Gate next to which is the Tower of David Museum providing the history of Jerusalem within the Old City Walls. Each quarter has its own unique atmosphere and observations, sites and smells, and experiences.

Gethesemane

can you imagine yourself standing in the place where Jesus had asked His deciples to stay up and pray with Him because a very upsetting and import life changing thing was to happen soon. It would even make Him sweat great drops of blood, not tiny little speckles, NO! can you just try to invision what that must have looked like! (If you saw somebody with great drops of blood coming out of their face or so you would definitly panic). They couldn’t stay awake and He was ” disappointed” Why can’t you stay up and help me through this time was is what He was asking them… and then the angels come and help him. ( ‘ And there appeared to Him an angel from heaven, strengthening Him in spirit. And being in an agony [of mind], He prayed [all the] more earnestly and intently, and His sweat became like great clots of blood dropping down upon the ground.’ Luke 22:43-44 https://my.bible.com/bible/8/LUK.22.43-44)

But you know what I think, I think that in the same way Judas betrayed Him, the deciples could not stay up, why? because it was something Jesus had to do alone. He had to go through the process and His father wanted Him for Him self… a moment last instructions perhaps, and of comforting His Son and saying it’s going to be hard, yes my Son! But I believe in you my beloved… I believe and know that this is something only you can do. And beacuse I know all things and would never let you do this if there would be a different outcome thats why I The Great I AM who never let any of the forefathers down wil most certainly not let My own Son down. The Fathers heart must have been so broken with grieve to have to put or let His son go something so horrendous something so painful but something so worth it. Can you imagine that somebody and not just anybody sufferd right here for you and me?. This was what was going through my mind then and there and I am so greatfull for this miracle that He has done for me so that we could be His friends forever. ‘ And He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and He said to Peter, What! Mount of Olives

Such a beautiful site standing on the Mount of Olives and overlooking Jerusalem, the weather is beautiful and thempreture quite high about 25c and the sun is burning on our faces, every little corner I turn to is photo material , it’s uphill and I arrive last at the top, because I am taking my time to enjoy every little bit of stone, tree, view, the graves and overlooking the Golden gate which is still closed & from a distence i can see the Gold Dome of the Rock a jewel in a crown, of the Temple Mount This Golden Dome was built in the 7th century ce and the Rock on which it is built sacred place for both the Muslims and Jews.

When I do arrive to my amzement I see a camal and ofcourse must take a ride, you can’t be in a ” desert” country and not ride a camal hahaha…. my husband Michel doesn’t want to get on with me because they stink he says… so I get on with one of the girls that is traveling with us… hold on tight, lean back as “hard” as we can and UP we go, a bit bouncy at first and then steady… round and round the roundabout and lean back again so that the camal can sit and we can get of this lovely creature, he or she is so relaxed isn’t bothered about a thing and so we continue to sit in the ” arena” at and listen to the sermon on the Mount by the organiser of our group Light4nations. Such a tremendouse group of people, so loving and careing, we haddent met before and yet there was such an incredilble unity each and every single day.
