Is the Bible true after all?

The world can no longer think clearly when it comes to Jerusalem or Israel…

We are watching another prophecy — a foretelling from the Bible — happen before our very eyes…

God Himself said He would make Jerusalem a 'cup of trembling' (Zechariah 12:2). What does that mean? What does it mean to be made to stagger? Once you are under such an influence, your brain no longer functions properly and you can no longer think clearly.

When someone comes under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxicants, for example, they begin to stagger.

Such a person can: - No longer think clearly and logically. - Misjudge dangers and situations. - Lose their balance and orientation. - Become confused and make wrong decisions. - Partly lose control over their actions.

This, as far as I am concerned, is what is going on when it comes to Jerusalem or Israel. World leaders, but also more and more ordinary citizens around the world, are as it were made to stagger when it comes to the position and history of Israel and Jerusalem. It does not have to be so complicated if you simply line up the facts and truths and make an assessment. And yet this does not happen!

Why not? Because this ancient biblical text already said so! God Himself will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling. Why? He allows it — and even brings it about — that the world can no longer think and act clearly; their brains simply no longer function properly when it comes to Israel, Jerusalem and the Jewish people!

Why? I believe God is bringing His people back from all over the world to their one small piece of land on earth! The land God promised them millennia ago. The land that, as if by a miracle, became a state again in 1948, when before that mainly Jews and (relatively) few Arabs lived there (mostly Bedouin); the so-called Palestinians only came once the Jews came… God Himself is bringing His people back to their (only) land. And the world is not going to stop that! They will never win. Perhaps they think they will, and sometimes it looks that way. But (recent) history shows how resolute this Jewish people is! They prevail on seven fronts at once! No country in the world has ever managed that!

At first God tried to fish them out of the nations, but a time is coming — and I believe that time is already here — when He sends 'hunters' to His people, His children, to compel them to go home (Jeremiah 16:16). I believe God allows all of this to shake His people awake, to say: rise up and go to your true and only home, and that He is as it were trying to lead them back under pressure… but as so often: 'when you are comfortable, you do not want to move'.

That, I believe, is why there is once again so much hatred and antisemitism in the world in this day and age.

Yet it is not good or desirable, and I stand against it. But I will not fight or pray against God's plan… bringing His people back… home.

Can you no longer think clearly either? Then go read the Bible and pray, and ask God: will You lead me and teach me, and keep me from staggering like so many…
